about
Richard (Short intro) : I grew up at Gurnard's
Head, working at the Gurnard's Head Hotel and bodyboarding / snorkelling
year round. Got into kitesurfing when it first hit the UK in 1999
with Andy Larder who started a kitesurfing school. Taught kiting
until 2004, then decided to pursue a career as a professional
chef. This has allowed me to keep kiting year round, often twice
a day in the off season and develop a style focused on kite powered
wave riding. I am engaged to Julie, my wonderful fiancee and plan
to tie the knot in Turkey in 2008, and Honeymoon in the Cape Verde
Islands where the combination of trade winds and swell should
be perfect. The wind is the source. Tap into it and reap the benefits.

Twintip for flatwater freestlye / unhooked wakestyle. Several
others - too many to list here - I'm a bit of a magpie when it
